A memorial service will be held for Barbara Compton on Thursday 7/9/2020 10:00 AM at Valley Baptist Church, 4800 Fruitvale Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Barbara and her husband, Dick Compton have been longtime members of the Corvettes of Bakersfield car club.
Dick and Barbara had planned a trip to Hawaii for 2020. Dick has asked for attendees to wear Hawaiian attire. He would also like to see his friends from the Corvette club bring their corvettes. To provide adequate parking for the cars, please RSVP Tom Jones at (661) 633-4753. Tom will be handling the parking arrangements.
Following the service, there will be a potluck at Emerald Cove Park located on the southwest corner of Hageman Rd/Patton Wy. Please bring your dish and meet at the covered awning at the park.
Barbara’s obituary will be listed in Friday’s (7/3/2020) paper. Don’t forget to wear your face masks.
