Liability Terms and Conditions(Required) In consideration of being permitted to participate in activities and events sponsored or hosted by Corvettes of Bakersfield, Inc. and/or Corvettes of Bakersfield Charity (“COB”), including but not limited to car shows, parades, caravanning, meetings, and other events, I/we, on behalf of myself/ourselves, my/our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby enter into this agreement.
Assumption of Risk. I/we acknowledge that participation in COB events involves inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to the risks associated with the operation of motor vehicles, travel on public and private roads, mechanical failure, collisions with other vehicles or objects, driver or participant error, and the actions of third parties. I/we fully understand that these risks can result in serious personal injury, death, or property damage. With full knowledge of the risks involved, I/we voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks of participation.
Waiver and Release of Liability. I/we hereby release, waive, and forever discharge the COB, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and affiliated organizations from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, or liabilities, including those arising from the ordinary negligence of the released parties, resulting in personal injury, death, or property damage. This waiver specifically includes any claims that may occur during or as a result of my/our participation in any COB event, including travel to, from, and during the event, whether as a driver, passenger, or participant in any capacity. This waiver does not apply to claims of gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional acts.
Indemnification. I/we further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the COB, its officers, and agents from any and all claims and liabilities, including for property damage, that arise from my/our participation in COB events.
Participant Certification. I/we certify that any vehicle operated in connection with COB activities is properly registered and insured in accordance with State law.
ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS: Due to windy conditions, no canopies are permitted in the car show parking lot. FAA airspace restrictions due to the nearby airport are in effect. No drones are allowed to fly over people or the cars in the car show parking lot. Your event registration donation is non-refundable transferable.
By checking the “I Agree” box, I/we acknowledge that I/we have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to this waiver and release of liability. I/we have been given ample opportunity to read and consider this document, I/we have read, understand, and voluntarily accept this waiver.
