What can I say? Just when I think C.O.B. can't do any better, they put on a show like the one we just went to over the weekend.... It was so well organized. Saturday night we went to the Doobie Brother's Concert, but guess what??? The C.O.B. evening of entertainment with the hypnotist and the Elvis impersonator was better. When they said they would feed all of us in one hour, I thought "right"! But, indeed, they pulled it off. The awards ceremony went fantastically smooth. The disk jockey that played at the car show and the awards ceremony was also outstanding. The car parking scheme worked to perfection. The car wash crew was a nice touch. The Corvettes of Bakersfield Club are an impressive bunch, they really know how to put on a show!
Let's do it again!!!

Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your Gambler’s Classic this year. It was a true pleasure entertaining your group! It was also my personal pleasure to work with you in the lead up to the event and onsite to make sure everything went smoothly. We definitely felt it was a great success! Jeremy has said many times that all he needs is a group of people ready to have a good time and he can really create something special...well, you gave him a theater full and I think he worked his Elvis magic pretty well! =) The band really enjoyed themselves too and this is one event we will all be talking about for a long time! We are glad you were able to raise so much for your charities too. Our biggest hope is that we can work with you all again in the future as we know that once you’ve got a solid working relationship with people and a venue...well, it runs like a Vette! Thanks again for all you both did to insure the weekend was a treat. Believe me, I know how hard you have to work to make it look so easy! Looking forward to seeing you at the Caruthers Fair again in September. I will also email Bob with our information...his slideshow was great too!

Just want to thank you and your club for putting on another amazing Gamblers Classic. We so enjoyed ourselves and really liked the dinner and entertainment provided. You guys put in so much work and it is truly appreciated. We can’t wait till next year. I have a 1982 that is being restored and hopefully ready for next year. Hope we can see some of you at our Antelope Valley Corvette Club car show June 16, 2012 at Clear Channel (Jet Hawks) stadium.

Hi Ken,
Of our 19 cars, 10 stayed over Sunday night. We drove the easy trip to Kingman to visit the Rt 66 Museum in the old powerhouse building (1st time for 7, re-run for the rest of us) and then had breakfast or lunch at the Cracker Barrel.
As far as I know, everyone had a great time, and there was a lot of talk about a return trip next year. I kind of want to try the Monterey Peninsula club's event next May 3-5, but I might get outvoted and do Laughlin again! Do you have the dates set for 2013 yet, and will it be at the Riverside again?
Anyway, our CSC folks really appreciate the job you, Steve, and the entire COB group, did to present such a well-planned function. we only wish it could be longer! Assigned parking was great, too.
Thanks so much for all you did to ensure every guest had a good time. Please let your whole club know how much we appreciated the full weekend.
We need to try to have a joint club function somewhere/somehow. Think about it, please.

Putting together an event like the Gamblers Classic is a BIG undertaking and I know time is at a premium.
All I can say about the seating is just OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!!!! You couldn't have done better.
The response I heard from our members was very very positive. I've asked our members to send me their
comments and I'll forward them to you in one email when I receive them.
All I can say is that COB has done it again in putting on one great classic and I for one look forward to next years show.
Next year I'll try to round up more members so we can take home your plaque to most attendees.
I'll be starting to work on the 500 pictures I took this afternoon and hopefully I'll have a photoshow done late this week.
I send you the show and you can forward it to everyone that attended if you have email addresse and put it on your clubs web site.
I have the email address of three different people that want me to send them pictures I took of them.
Again, one great weekend!
