COB General Meeting

I wanted to give you a heads up on the Charity of the Month for November.  I talked with the representative from H.A.L.T. Helping Animals Live Tomorrow at the Petco recently. She was showing dogs and puppies for adoption. She remembers accepting a donation from COB a few years ago. We spoke specifically of what her suggestions would be for donations now. To  be consistent in the food provided for the dogs and avoid tummy upsets, she prefers Nutra Nuggets from Costco. The 40# bag was $27.99 at my Panama Costco this week. I did not see it online so I went there and picked it up. She welcomes donations of bedding like blankets and pillows for the crates. The dogs really did cuddle up on those fleece blankets in the crates at Petco. It was hard to not take a pup home with me. A check of the website indicated she would accept chew toys and donations for veterinary services. Since we will rotate charities, if you have a favorite pet shelter for another time, please let me know.  I will collect your donations at the General Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 9.   Note! We meet on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021 at Senor Pepe’s for a Meet and Greet from 5-6:15. General COB meeting begins at 6:15 PM. – Linda Stacey
